Offwhite interior color
#6
Hi Steve,
As far as i know the coloured piping is an original factory option.
I did in fact re-dye the seats, including the piping, a couple of years ago. Original colour of course. The previous owner had added the white gauge faces and as the interior carpet and seats were all linen (all to much for me) i made some black carpets to help break it up.

What dye did you use, if I may ask?
Cheers - your car looks great.
PS - I've watched the "all blacks" rugby team from NZ on tv. Awesome. Are you a fan?

Yes, i re-dyed the piping. Patience, time and a fine brush is all that is required. I re-dyed the seats in linen and then started on the piping in red. It is not in the slightest bit difficult.......go for it.
Dye source: http://www.dynamixdyes.com (no affiliation etc etc)
One 65ml bottle of "Flamenco Red" was plenty for my piping.
I did go over it about four times as it is best to apply thin coats.
Am i a fan of the All Blacks?.........i'm a Kiwi, it's mandatory! Most Americans thinks it's a tough game but there is another game played mostly here and in Australia called Rugby League (the All Blacks play rugby union).....now thats for the hard guys!
BTW, there is a special annual motor race happening in Australia tomorrow called the Bathurst 1000. Almost a street race 6 hours long with a large hill, wild corners, 6.2km long circuit and 600hp V8 cars. Check it out if you can.
Cheers,
Nick

964 Interior renovation, Blue Piping colour on Linen Leather Seats
Hi,
I'm looking to renovate the interior of my car.
Would anyone know the dark blue colour code for the piping on linen (NG) seats?
My OPC gave me the following interior codes but I can't figure out which is which bar the NG = linen but does not tell the piping, also are any of these codes for the dashboard and tops of door panels and can these be renovated like the leather.
Has anyone ever tried dying the carpet?
Interior specification
Interior trim NG
Interior trim
Interior trim KL Leatherette
Seat combination number TW2
Seat cushion material LE Leather
Seat side support material LE Leather
Seat back material KL Leatherette
Carpet colour code 2XF

Dealership and Previous owner calls the interior color Ivory. A former employee at Porsche Zuffenhausen said he is sure this is an early equipped car in the now Porsche Exclusive department.
Official Porsche color could be Linen, and Linen discontinued by 91, replaced by Light Grey.
