Looks like an S2 Elise to me John.
It's an Exige S....wasn't very fast on track but I think it was the owner's first time on track. There was also one of the new Evoras a bit further long...they have even less space in the back than a 911

John, I met Paz for the first time at the end of the day.....sounds like he's another trackday convert

That was the best day I've had at Oulton so far, cracking weather, nice folk and some really nice cars. Thanks for posting the pics Steve, I've got some I've yet to go through plus a small video clip.

Baz
In that case....I'll have to go for the LWF so that our cars remain evenly matched on track

Neil,
My car is the yellow RS, the cage is a supplying dealer fitted Heigo half cage with reinforcing "X bow" as the germans call it. Still available from Heigo, very nicely made cage although does require drilling four holes to fit. Mine is the steel version, would not recommend ali for obvious reasons....
Cheers,
Kevin.

Hey Boxsey911, was nice to meet you and Chris.
I am indeed a trackday convert but still have a lot to learn with regards driving . . .

John, you were sorely missed.

Here's a couple of shots I took on the day. . .

Thanks Kevin,

Your car is stunning and I have often wished that Australia brought in more of the brighter colours when the 964's were in production. When I was looking for mine there was very little in the way of variety to the point the only alternatives were red or black, bot of which take a beating from the Australian sun.

I'm looking into importing the Heigo cage from Eurpoe but it's proving difficult finding a distributor who will ship something like that.

Looks like you guys had a great time and it's good to see some of the more exotic versions of the 964 being driven in anger, rather than wrapped up in cotton wool.
