Any idea of the weight with tires?

If you get a change, perhaps you can weight the front and rears so I can tell if they are worth the upgrade weight-wise.

Thanks.

Marc
p.s. they look great on your car!

They look great, esp w/o spacers. Not sure why you say that the 9" are better for the street.

The Toyos weigh 24.9 for the front (235) and 27.3 for the rear (265), so combined with the wheels at 18 and 20, you get roughly 43 lbs for the fronts, and 47.5 for the rears. The Hoosiers are much lighter than the Toyo R888s FWIW.

I've been a big fan of the RA-1s and now the R888s, so not surprisingly, I like the results on the new (to me) 964. They don't have vices, other than maybe weight, but that's all relative.

I said the 9" might be better for street simply because they will safely tuck inside the wheel well, no problems. The 10" is big, and fills the wheel well with little room for error both on the inside and outside. They obviously work, though, and they do make the car look very aggressive. I'm running a 265 Toyo, but a 275 Hoosier fits as well (The 275 Hoosier actually fits a little bit better).

I had a lot of people looking at the wheels at Lime Rock over the two days I was there. There was another set of these on a white 997 GT3, and they looked awesome.

Thanks for the input. Looks like I'll go for your size as my 17" Cup 1s aren't almost flush with the fenders which is the look I want.

Any rubbing at the front on full lock?

2002M3Drew - Those look great on your car!

I assume that you did weight comparisons when you were choosing track wheels? Are the Allegritas the lightest that you could find out there?

I have been on the search as well and am torn between going with these or a set of the Rays Engineering T37s I had on my 997.

Honestly, it had a lot to do with value. With the CCWs being $800+ each, and Fikses or Forgelines in the $1,000 a wheel category, these OZs at the same weights, and at under $400 each, made a lot of sense. The fact that they are new and look a little bit different on the car are icing on the cake.

Adrian - looks like I'll be going for the Allegeritas in the 18x8 and 18x9 sizes in white, re-spraying them to silver, and ordering the P-car center caps from TireRack.

Let me know if you want to do a GB, talking to the OZ distributors in SG.

Must say that they're good value for money, and light.

Hi There,

according to the TOYO R888 chart fitement, you can fit the 235s on a 8" rim and the 265s on a 9"
??? what's your opinion guys ?!

I think I'm going for the 8 with 235/40 and 9 with 265/35.

Still comtemplating a last minute switch to the 8.5 and 10.

Compared my current 8.0 ET52 ...
9 ET43 = outside clearance 22mm less, inside clearance 4mm less, centre of tyre 18mm out
10 ET40 = outside clearance 37mm less, inside clearance 13mm less, centre of tyre 24mm out

In 10", this looks optimal based on research (AP Car Design, CCW 10" offset, other forum comments) ...
10 ET45 = outside clearance 32mm less, inside clearance 18mm less, centre of tyre 14mm out

Therefore the ET40 is possible but with some rs spec lowering I have some doubts!

It is also worth noting this comment from 'kgorman' in a thread post ...
toyo RA1 275's with 18x10 ET45 and -2 camber in the rear with Cross suspension with 800lb springs and I have rubbing on the *inside* under only very heavy compression. My ride height is such that my tires are essentially inside the fender wells (very low).

So maybe the ET40 is perfect afterall with large neg camber and lowering!?
