Very true about these oem used parts. I had two complete matched sets of rods out of a 964 engine that would have been an obscene amount of money new if you had to buy them, but I struggled to get $150 for all of them (about $12/each) in used but very good condition. I sold them because I went with Pauter lightweight rods in my rebuild. I also know of one other complete stock 964 exhaust system sitting in the back of a storage room at a shop. No one really needs it and it's not worth the money to ship it anywhere. But then, if someone cracks a stock exhaust manifold and needs a used one, it is worth whatever that person is willing to pay. Timing is everything!

+1 I've heard a lot of negatives regarding superchargers especially the older ones. As the Great Eddie Bello has shown us turbos are the way to go...if Porsche were supposed to have Supershargers they would be offered as a factory option and more companies would be making them...

I agree with you - The value is based on the market - if there is little to no market the value is pretty low.

I have checked out the TPC site and I have spoken to many about the TPC superchargers. VERY mixed reviews. The TPC site is a little deceiving, it claims 100 bolt on HP and addition 40 hp with the inter cooler neting 140 HP. However, I spoke with the reps at TPC and they say it will only be 100 hp for both supercharger and intercooler. The inetrcooler only allows you max power (100 HP) for a longer period. You don't actually get 140 HP bolt as the site claims. I believe Turbo are the way to go...

964speed heard the same thing. So 60 hp for 8k plus install just doesn't make sense in my mind. Seems like you can get more with airbox exhaust and chip..
