Default 964 in Florida

Wondering if anyone knows or seen this car in the Orlando area. 91 White on Grey C2 Coupe, 77kms. Owner has it for sale. Would someone mind checking it out for me. Hard for me to do in Canada.

Yeah.... this one seems sketchy.

The seller is very aggressive and impatient (and loud), and kept repeating that the car was clean and runs great and all that... but he refused to take it for a PPI, even if I pre-paid for it. "I know the car is great, so I don't want to **** around with driving it all over the place for people." Nice.

Even if it IS a nice car, why is he selling it for so little? He kept telling me that he had a ton of offers, people calling from all over the world (literally)... but he hasn't sold it yet, so it can't be that great. It has been for sale for a least a couple weeks. If it's so nice, it should have sold already, considering his price.

I passed on it.

If it is this one, I would pass on a 5 speed manual, automatic, 3.8 liter V6, sport utility Porsche.

Price $14,000
Mileage 77,000
Body Style Sport Utility
Exterior Color White
Interior Color Green
Engine 6 Cylinder
Transmission Automatic
Drive Type 2 wheel drive
Fuel Type Gasoline

Very good condition, but minor wear on the drivers seat only and minor scratching in front plate. Five speed manual, V-6 3.8 liter engine, Blaupunkt stereo, radar detecter, and has never seen salt, snow, or sand with absolutely NO rust. Has never been in any accidents. Will throw in two brand new front tires. Two owners. New clutch at 70,000. Always garaged, Looks & runs great,

GOKart, I'm sure if the owner says that the car is nice then a PPI is not needed. I don't think he would lie. Also the owner is probably being considerate by not wanting to put miles on someone's prospective new car.

Haha - yeah - he was an awesome guy on the phone. Very consider of my needs as a potential buyer about to spend thousands of dollars on a thoroughbred German sportscar under the umbrella of a downtrodden economy

Maybe it IS a diamond in the rough, but you'd never know, talking to the seller...

pre buying a 964 everything saw/read suggested a full p.p.i. was a base line requirement ....

he has been actually very good with me. very cooperative. i'm trying to get the car into Hans Foreign Cars to see if they can do the PPI. Anyone have any experience with them. My only concern is getting a car with a motor that needs work. I don't mind doing a rebuild in a few years, but not when I get the car back to Canada immediately.

If anyone has any experience with Hans please let me know.

Hans is very good. He has been around forever. He knows the older cars.

I spoke with this guy, repeatedly. I think the best description of him is inconsistent. Hot and cold over 3 or 4 conversations. Initially had it advertised as a V6. He has pictures which he did send me. I had an appointment to see the car 3 or 4 weeks ago. The night before I was going to meet him at his home, I asked him to send me his address so I could find him. We were scheduled 9AM on a Sat morning. He never sent me his address and did not answer the phone # he gave me. I emailed him 10 days later asking if he had sold it. His answer was "..........................................................NO". What does that mean? I gave up. Good luck.
