Sunset Imports has the best prices on OEM parts. If it's in stock you might even get it in time without having to pay for expedited shipping.

I changed the O2 sensor on my old 964 with an aftermarket one a few years ago. Didn't notice any difference in performance. I forget what the price difference though, is it a lot?

Default prices

Pelican has it for $121, Sunset is $149.71. they have it in stock, and it does include the grommet. I'm ordering from sunset. Hate dealing with the grommet thing, even though mine is already cut from last one installed. total including the shipping is $159.68 door to door.

It has been mentioned on this forum before (Adrian Streather, I think) that the aftermarket units can be problematic due to the fact that you have to splice the wires to the factory harness. There are also comments relating to sealing against moisture.

I had an aftermarket, and during a torrential rain storm, something went south causing the car to misfire, buck and surge. After that incident, I bought a factory unit, and have not had the same problem since.

YMMV, and my situation could well have been a coincidence, but given what I consider to be a reasonable price for the factory unit, I say "Why chance it for a few bucks"?

Brian, kinda my thought. I don't drive the car a ton and would rather have the right part over the cheap part. I was just afraid the factory price would have been double the Pelican price. I'm fine with the sunset price, and they have great customer service.

well, the part sunset is shipping has the grommet, Pelican did not so I'll take the OE part for the few extra bucks.
