Default Happy Friday

So I plan to wash the Porsche and a coat of wax on it too. She's been neglected too long. Maybe an interior cleanup too. Got picnic plans at friends' house Saturday night, so no Porsche ride. Maybe Sunday though. Got asked to lead a group drive to breakfast in October. Buddy already developed a route, just need to run it and see how long it takes.

Not much else- how about your plans?

I did all of my Porsche parts work last night, so it's drive and enjoy this weekend!

Installed Wevo motor mounts and had my first Dr. Colorchip experience. Both great products. Hope to get some miles in this weekend and will report back next week.

Best,
Udo

P.S. - I did do quick run after installing the Wevo mounts. Wow! I just upped the gruffness of the car a bit (in a GOOD, more focused way).

Initial impressions:

Will report back next week with more impressions and a bit of a DIY.

I was in Brazil from Sun-Wed and now in Chile until Sunday night... back home on Monday morning. Not much happening with my 964... sitting pretty in the garage.

Well - I finally have a useful post for the "Friday" thread.

Later today - a gaggle of 964's will gather for a "taillight" party. We've ordered up some of the red film that makes the tail lights appear red again - as opposed to the insipid salmon pink. We're going to fix 3-4 cars this aft with this approach - as well as install some new lamps that look clear and flash yellow. Should be a fun afternoon.

I'll post some photos on our progress.

Rally- would be interested to know how that works over the paint method.

I am planning on putting my passenger’s side door back together with a replacement window regulator and new speakers tonight. Yeah windows that go up AND down.

The GF wants to go clay pigeon shooting and try Maryland blue crab. She is English, so shooting and Maryland/Southern foods are a novelty.

Saturday there is a PCA tech session Saturday I would like to attend to get a report card on my car from a pro. Not sure if I can make it, but I will try. Should be fun.

think I will back both the Porsche's out into the driveway so the afternoon rain storm can wash them
I get the pleasure of spending the next week baby sitting my GF's 100+ lb Rottweiler while she goes to NY to babysit her granddaughter

Tonight when I get home will wash and wax the baby. Have the lynmor swap meet here in LI, NY. Plans to meet a few fellow rennlisters with 964's there. I can't go with a dirty car. I told the wife that when I got home what I was doing and she said with a disgruntled face you just washed it last weekend.

Rally Guy please post some results or better yet a step by step as I have been thinking about doing this as well. That is one thing I hate about the 964's compared to the older 911's, you can actually see that it says Porsche!

With all the talk about washing and waxing my wife also gets a disgruntled face saying "every time you take it out you wash it". For the most part I do however I had to park it a few days ago after it started to rain. It really is part of the drive for me. Drive the car and wash it, it must be a zen thing. A two hour zen thing when it comes to the waxing.

So perhaps a drive and a wash this weekend for me.

yeah shack I don't know I wash then wax then drive. These cars wax so easily and don't take a lot of time. Not sure why the wife cares not like she will help.

wellcraft- (and a first name would be nice so we address you properly) it's not what you are doing, it's what you are not doing and that's spending time with her!
