Default Chip and Tip?

Has anyone installed a chip on their Tiptronic? I just had my first autocross last weekend and am looking for ways to improve performance.

Any recommendations for brand? Vertex, Autothority, Wong, etc.?

Thanks,

Yo - I have a 993 Tip - went for Wong chip - did wonders. Better acceleration and response. Also better fuel economy - hard to beleive - but yes - I got better economy as well. Did the fabspeed cat bypass and loved that as well - the sound is great. Better response with the cat bypass.
Good luck ...

I had a custom rollin road live re-map.
Made it drive better and pulled 278bhp!

Plug and play do work, but might not suit your car %100.

Can you remap the car to change the automatic selection of second gear to first gear from a standstill? When placed in 'D', 2nd gear is the lowest it selects in my '91. My understanding is that in later model tips the auto does use first gear.

This is one of the reasons I have NEVER used the D position in the year I've had the tip.

'91 tip, wong chip. some improvement for low end power. but you really need to use the manual tip option on the track to keep the rpm's up and control the shifting
