Heck, it's just a wash and an oil-change away from perfection!

"As Porsche enthusiasts ourselves, we decided we did not want to see this rare Porsche die or get further parted out. We are offering this special opportunity to bring a legendary Porsche back to the road."

Really?

Really?

Translation: We parted everything we could. Now we are selling the RS VIN for $4000.

Not a terrible deal if you already have a totaled and complete 964 and a tremendous amount of time and mechanical inclination. IMHO a reconstruction will ever be worth the same as a natural RS.

Agree. The car is a C2 with a manual steering rack, except for the magic VIN, which is of questionable value with a salvage title and without the matching serial numbers for the engine and transmission.

looks like they even parted out the clutch pedal. But the Windscreen is very nice and stylish.

...we decided we did not want to see this rare Porsche die or get further parted out.
Further? Other than the VIN plate & sticker (and two well worn 'RS' decals), what's left that's remotely 'RSA' about this 964 hulk?

Haul it offshore to create a Porsche-reef.

DRIVERS side is damaged, huh?

Honestly, it's probably an easier fix than RSA #1 I still have sitting around the shop. (But mine has 42K original and a "clean" title, plus the original drivetrain is still around.)

It's worth buying it, just to finally put an end to the 'seam welded/rolled fenders/crinkled paint' discussions....seems like the perfect candidate

Default seam welds

ltc,

There is no discussion.

Not according to Klaus Par the factory archivist in Stuttgart........ read the article - particularly the section entitled "RSA rumors and gossip"

http://www.rsamerica.net/articles/member/what_is.htm

can we move on now?
