Question Where can I purchase an exhaust bracket like this?

Yesterday I noticed that the exhaust bracket was hanging down under the rear bumper. It was clear that the bracket had broken and upon further inspection, it was obvious the second bracket holding up the muffler was also broken.

I took it to a couple of local exhaust shops today and none had anything like it for replacement. Checked many online Porsche parts suppliers and came up empty. Looked at the B & B Exhaust website for accessories but it did not list any brackets at all.

Is this a special bracket for our cars?

I just sent an e-mail to B & B Exhaust to see if it's something special that came with their exhaust package (as there is a B & B Exhaust Sytem installed on the car).

I'm not familiar with BB's exhaust but those clamps look like the factory muffler clamps. Let me see if I can look up the part numbers.

Found it. They are clamps around your primary muffler, right?

The band is called a restraining band - 964-111-119-02 and the screw is a panhead M8 x 80mm is 900-067-309-00

A 964 needs two of each.

I'm pretty sure the clamps on my B&B were longer than the stock muffler clamps...... (the muffler is long gone now though)

I just checked the 'PB' and commented on your answer. Thanks again. I thought of using both forums to get a potential answer and it worked. Sorry for the redundancy but needed an answer to solve it by tomorrow.

Sam, Those straps will break frequently...I believe yoru best bet to to got to a good muffler shop , even a Midas if they have a good welder and they can make your straps that will last an eternity. B&B straps are crap.

New B&B straps installed today. The reason I went back with the B&B straps is I identified why the straps broke in the first place (with the help from Rennlist and Pelican Forums) and installed them to correct the bolt scraping on the ground. This should work fine. If for any reason it breaks again then I'll permanently tac weld it to the exhaust. Job accomplished for know.

Thanks for all the help and input.
