Default Tennessee Run

Guys I wanted to post this for any of us porschephiles that are on here and have not had the pleasure of goin on a Middle Tennessee Fun Run. I'd have written it my self but a fellow renlister from the 911 board put it in perfect words...

Scott

Hey guys,

I know we haven't scheduled any runs this year, but we are about to
change that.

I'm not sure how many of you ever met David Bailey, but he is a good
guy and has been working on a 1968 911 RS replica. Well not to long
ago David's wife Brin, also a Porsche enthusiast (I know she has a 74
911 and another one I want to say 85-86 Carrera), but not to long ago
she was diagnosed with having spinal and brain cancer. It was sudden
and no one knew about it until too late. It is past the point where
they can operate and they (she) has decided she wants to live out the
rest of her life as peacefully as possible. She is now wheelchair
bound but from David's most recent report still "fighting like a
champ". One thing David thinks she would really like to see is a big
group of Porsches come out and just meet and eat.

And I know it is short notice but next weekend Sat. morning July 18,
they are planning to have a brunch with as many cars as possible show
up (almost an impromptu car show) at The Old Country Store restaurant
located in the Casey Jones Village in Jackson TN. Exit 80 off of I-40.
I did a quick google check and straight drive it is 2 hrs 30 mins
from M-boro. But I also looked and we could meet in Thompson's
station and run out some backroads through Hohenwald, Linden and some
other small towns on the way, instead of doing straight interstate.
From Thompson Station on the back roads to the meet would be about 2
and 40 mins.

I'm going. I just wanted to see if anyone else is interested and if
so what way you guys would like to travel.

I'm posting on Pelican and Rennlist too, so if you know of anyone else
give them a shout. My cell if you need me is 615-785-4807 or
423-202-2456.

Let me know,

Ryan
