Ride height w/ Bilstien and H/R Reds
I understand the PSS9s get the car lower than the HD's and H/Rs. Just exactly how low can you get with the H/R reds. Mine on my old car got it pretty low, but what is the lowest you can get it and how does it look w/ 17" wheels?
Please advise and please post pics...

I am using Bils HDs and HR Turbo Red Springs and set up to close to RS ride height. RS spec is front is 125mm plus/minus 5 and rear is 223mm plus/minus 5.
On my 89 C4 I am at :
130mm Front
231mm Rear
I track the car at DEs and have had no issues with Yoko AD 07s 225/45-17 front and 255/40-17 rears. ide is a little firm , but not harsh, IMHO.
The set up can go at least as low as the min RS but you could run into steering geometry or inside edge tire clearance problems. Here is a pic, its not great but you can see the ride height.

Your Targa is pretty darned sharp looking, too. I really like the color. Is that the stock suspension under it?
I actually took the car to the lowest RS spec and it had the look I wanted, but two things made me go back up to my present setting. 1) I was nervous about the tie rod geometry and 2) I felt like I would need to roll the fenders and wasn't ready to do that.
While a lot of people have said the ride is harsh, I don't think its unbearable, even if you wanted to make a long trip. I understand the HR Greens will allow you to go slightly lower than the Reds and provide a softer ride, so you may consider going that way if you aren't tracking the car.
I am very pleased but will likely go to a higher rate in the future as the Reds rates are still a little short of where I want to be on the track. However, I'll probably start trailering the car at that point in time.

mda1: If you are referring to wheel spacers, the answer is none on the back and none needed. I do have 5mm spacers on the fronts though and they are needed or you will likely rub the inner fenderwell. I have heard that some cars don't rub and it boils down to the differences in the actual tire width as there can be significant variances between brands.
Also, there is a Service Bulletin regarding trimming the bracket at the upper to lower fender junction in the wheel well to allow clearance for 17" wheels if upsizing from 16"s. Luckily, its a simple fix.
