Default Valve Cover Gasket Kits

I've just received a second valve cover gasket kit from Pelican that includes:
  • Gaskets for all four covers
  • New cover nuts
  • Cat bolts, nuts and washers - for four bolts
  • Cat gasket
  • Exhaust bolts - two bolts

However, there are no nuts or washers for the long bolts for the primary (cup pipe) connection or the secondary (g-pipe) connection.

Surely those nuts and washers are supposed to be included; no?

Every kit I have purchased did not have the muffler clamp bolts. I don't recall getting an "exhaust bolts".

The kit I ordered (not through Pelican) also came with the triangular metal gasket for the cat on top of the stuff you got. It did not come with primary and secondary muffler bolts, nuts, or washers IIRC.

If you need the triangular gasket I'm pretty sure I have it and can send it your way since I don't have a cat and my exhaust doesn't need to be removed to get to the valve covers.

All the kits I have purchased only come with what you got (only thing I see missing from the list is the CAT gasket)... and I have purchased them from different vendors... same stuff every time.

  • Gasket for Cat Con
  • Gaskets for all four covers
  • New cover nuts
  • Cat bolts, nuts and washers - for four bolts
  • Exhaust bolts - two bolts

Okay, then. Thanks. Seems odd, though, to provide the two bolts for the muffler donuts, but no washers or nuts. Those bolts sometimes sheer off for me! I'm surely not reusing any nuts.

Guess I'll have to source them locally.

Cheers,
Dave

When I was fitting my new covers and took the cat off I noticed a couple of bolts missing from the cat heat shields. There's always something missing. These consist of nice little captive nuts that take M6 bolts. So I checked the price and availability with the local Porsche dealer...

..."We'll have to order them Sir and they're £6.48 + tax each!!!"

It's a square nut in a clip for goodness sake!

Wow... this took a long time...

Anyway, looked at the kit I had. Part number for the kit: 964 105 902 00

It has everything... washers and nuts for everything.

Where'd you source it?

I'm on my second "kit" from Pelican and still no nuts for the long muffler/hanger/donut bolts.

This one came from Sunset. Last one I have... so time to order another one.

I thought I had one from VertexAuto... looks like I used it last time I did the valve adjustment.

I just did my valves today and I used the same kit as Jaime shows in his picture. It also came from Sunset and it had the 4 bolts and gasket for the cat and then the 2 long bolts shown in the picture, along with the usual valve cover nuts and gaskets. No other bolts for the exhaust.
