Default 996 wheels on a 92 964? pics?

Saw a set of these 996 10 spokes (99636212802) Looks like the 17" wheels and offsets will work - anybody have some pics? TIA

Nine11,
Are those 17"s or 18's on your car? From the angle of the bottom pic my eyes think they might be 18s...

Am liking those 996 wheels in black Are they quite readily available? (bearing in mind the amount of 996's about). Are they fairly lightweight in comparison to our regular cup wheels ?

Any other pitfalls..ie spacers needed etc ?

Am not in the market for any at the moment but wondered if they might make a nice set of track or alternative wheels some time in the future.

Ive been looking for a set for a couple of months, cheapest i can find is £1000.
There not that common and are only OE (no cheap copys about) they fit straight on and are fairly light apparently.
Adam where did you get your set from?

As I understand it they were an option on the 996 (not standard) and are actually made by BBS.

I think the widths are 7.5" and 9". I bolted my straight on (no spacers) and don't have any issues, even with the low stance. I can't remember my tyre combo off the top of my head but I think it's 225/60 and 245/40.

I struggled to find any here as well - in the end I got them from ebay.de (Germany). there were quite a few sets and I think I paid about £500 - and that was with tyres & delivery! That was just over a year ago.

I did have to wade through pages and pages of results though because my German wasn't good enough to narrow down the search terms!

Hope it helps a little.

Mine went straight on, no spacers. However, I might put some out back to push them out a bit. They are quite light (I went from a set of Cup I's to these and was amazed how much lighter these were).

Good luck in your search Russ....would you paint them white to match your car? Black? Or straight silver?

Checked on e-bay in germany and theres a set for 600 euro (no post option) and a set in a german breakers for 500 euro, but one has a small dent in it!
They seem a lot more common in germany. Looks like ill have to get a set from the continent.

As for color, iam still thinking I really like the dark grey my current wheels are so may have done the same, then again bright fresh silver will look real good. Ill worry about that when i can afford a set.

In th US there $134 each! How much to ship them? Then import tax?

I have them in 7's and 9's. Did they come in 7.5's as well? Nice wheels, just picked some up myself!

Some pictures of the new wheels.

Wing up...

Originally, I had D90s and I put them on the scale after taking them off. The front weighed in at 36lbs and the rears weighed 44lbs a piece. The new 17's were 37lbs (front) and 46lbs (rear). The weights include tires, but this is just FYI. (scale might be a little off, but close enough?). The new tires on the 17's are BFG G-force Sports. Pretty sticky tires so far, but haven't gone for a "spirited" drive yet. Steering response is 10x's better! I love these wheels!
