Sounds like things worked out best for you. Questable car and owner. Not a winning combo when trying to buy.

Total BS sorry it ended badly. I agree he should have at a minimum kept you in the loop.

Don't be discouraged it usually means there is a better one out there waiting for you.

964 993 are both great cars.

Keep shopping its half the fun anyhow.

Thanks guys. I agree just hard finding a good clean car. Also lots of people think their car is worth way more then it is. Values are down now and i even notice it since I started looking a few months ago. Well keep your eyes out for me. coupe or convertible in a nice 964 or 993 thanks all for your help

So very true.

You will be in such better shape in the long (and short) run starting with a clean car rather than buying someone else’s mistakes and problems.

Sometimes the best deal is the one you don't make. I'm sure you will find the right car.

As for 964 v. 993, I am on my second 964 and recently drove a well sorted 993. I didn't think the 993 driving experience was any different than the 964. On paper the 993 has more horsepower, more modern rear suspension, and a 6 speed transmission but I was hard pressed to notice any difference-maybe on the track I would have noticed. To me it is not worth the price premium over a comparable 964, plus I far prefer the 964 looks. If your budget is $20k you can probably get a really nice 964. A similar 993 would probably be $5-10k more.

I drove the 964 I was going to buy and a 993 cab and loved them both. True I don't think one is faster then the other. On the 964 I would want a coupe and 993 can go either way. Think the wife would like a cab better. Anyway willing to pay more mid 20's to high 20's for the right car. Just sold a jeep I had expecting to buy this 964 and did not want 4 cars.
Well found a 993 convert resonable priced only time will tell and please keep sending me cars you find.
also anyone know about the guy in CO, englewood he posts some cars on here and has a nice silver convert for like 30k.

sorry it didn't work out.

for 993's, probably the best year is 95 since it didn't have obd2 electronics.

You know you are asking a biased audience and we will all say the 964 is better.

But I do love that 993 *** end, but not so fond of the squashed front end.

My best friend lives in Englewood, I can ask if he knows anything if you give me some details.
