Default Pressure testing the intake for leaks....

Is it normal to get hissing from the oil filler cap? FYI, if you do hear hissing from the oil filler cap, don't open it !

Trying to track down my rough idle issue, I removed the air meter, stuffed a 993 oil filter in there, and put some air through the fitting for the gas vapor return hose. Other than not making the oil filter "plug" tight enough, only other noise was from the oil filler cap. So, I had to open it, and out burped a pint or so of oil.... oops......

That's interesting. Elsewhere there's a long-running thread on a 993 forum about how best to top up the oil (includes what day of the week it should be, the phase of the moon and how far you should stand from someonme called Nigel...) and one of the arguments is whether the engine should be running. Several have said it's impossible for this to happen.
