Oh yes - now that's the idea.

The rim tape is in just four curved pieces per rim, so it shouldn't be too wobbly, even if it's me doing it. Better not get Kahdmus to help me, though...

It is pretty easy to apply.

Tip - If you clean your wheel REALLY well before you apply stickers, you will be able to correct any imperfections.

Are you going for the Demon Tweeks or the £35 stuff?

i nearly did this with my black road rims, but seeing as a change of colour MAY be on the cards, i decided against it.

Donington may be its last pink outing

I would try the tape, get a feel for it and then do this if you decide to stay with it.

Do you have other wheels for the car John?

If you want to do it right. Put your decals on with windex or soapy water. Get them close to perfect as possible but don't squeegy them out of all the moisture. Then spin the wheel and gingerly, GINGERLY, guide the decal into a perfect circle like you would if forming a bowl out of clay on a wheel. Any sign shop that works with vinyl can cut you a perfect one piece circle for each wheel.

I found some on eBay for £5 for all four wheels - at least that makes it a cheap experiment.

Don't have other wheels - these are my old Carrera Cups (wider than 'normal' Cups) but painted (maybe powder-coated) black.

I don't like them in pictures, and the same really goes for the car's interior - but in the flesh they are really a grower. I'm getting quite attached to the car's outlaw, hard-edged look. At least it means I'm not just going back to what I already had for 13 years. Perhaps I'll keep it this way for a while and then if I feel like another change I can flip it all back to how it used to be.
