Default Our "old" cars still go pretty good

Only 1/2 lap from another guy's in-car, exit of T7 to exit of T11.

Sears last weekend for a BMW school. This was in the wheel-to-wheel component of the school where they let a bunch of us go out to "terrorize" the students.

For those who know him, it's Mooty's old car from back when the figured an E36 M3 was "the answer"........Motons, full everything, but this guy just had street tires on for this event.

That was not a pass, it was a flyby.

What happens when you've got RA1's on the rear within a mm or two from cord. I'm quite surprised they lasted as long as I cared to use them. I think the only corners I didn't get some pretty severe oversteer on some lap, somewhere were 3A and 10. And if you know Sears, there are a couple of other corners you don't want the rear breaking loose.............

Ken: What sort of lap times do you turn in that car? (SP and/or TH)

Full Thunderhill about 2:07 (compared to 2:02 with those exact same tires last summer mounted on the yellow car). Here at Sears? Never got a clean lap. Best I ever did with RSA#1 racing it, but never spent the $$ on Hoosiers; a 300lb lighter car set up marginally better was in the 1:51 range. So I'd guess I was in the 1:55 range, maybe slower.

And to further elaborate for those of you not familiar with Sears Point, those are Spec Miata times. Front of the pack, but nonetheless Spec Miata............
