Default Valve Cover Torque Value - Conflicting Reports - Help Please!

We're finishing up our first valve adjustment - and in doing some research on the site for the torque specs for the valve cover nuts - we've come across a number of different posts which reference 7 inch pounds and a number of posts which reference 7 foot pounds -- there's a substantial difference. Hope fellow RL's can provide clarification. Thanks in advance.

Thanks very much - we had a look through the workshop manuals and couldn't find it!

Volume 1, 03-8, step 7.

Section entitled Checking and adjusting the valve clearance, which starts on page 03-7.

Now it's really easy to find once you have the page #!!! We're both feeling blind as bats right about now. Thanks again.

I'm Sorry about my other post on another thread.

It was one (the only???) to say 7 "in-lb".
It definitely should have been 7 "ft-lb".

Hope this didn't cause too much hair pulled, or furrowed brows.
My apologies.
