Default Valve adjustment

How often do you need to get this done. What sort of intervals??I am debating if I need to get my valves adjusted I got them adjusted at 98,000 now there is 112,000 on the odometer. I am going to sell the car and was thinking about getting this done before I sell it.

15K is the norm and you're just about there.

Eh, these days, with the economy and all, I'd say "screw it" the car will be for sale...if you keep decent records and show the next potential owner that you had a valve adjustment at 98K - I'm sure they'd be satisfied...not like you're going to get more $$$$$$$ for the sale because of a valve adjustment, but who knows?

Don't do it. Tell the seller it is due, and show that the car does go between adjustments and run fine. Also, the new buyer might be DIY and prefer to do it him/herself.

I was thinking about getting a PPI done and while they were doing that I was going to get them to do the adjustment and give it an oild change I think it would be worth it. A lot of peole were interested in the car but have all asked the same questions so I might as well get it done thanks

Jeff is right: I wouldn't spend another dime if the car to be sold since you'll not recover any of that expense.

FWIW, let the next owner have a PPI done (at the shop of THEIR choice),....
