Default 964 RSA vs. GT3

Was bored on a flight today and played around with some pictures. Cars are 14 years of age apart on the same track. Shows how big the 997s are.

Guessing from your signature that they're both yours, right? So, which one is more fun?

On the track: RSA - less expensive should things go wrong = more relaxed driving.

That's one of the many things I like about my 964. It looks so small when parked along side other everyday cars, even in the UK. Must be even more so in the US, where cars are typically bigger.

Never struck so much with this before as with your pics:
How Porsche kept capturing ever-modern expectations out of 1960's proportions. (--kinda)

Or how after 30 years, something had to give. Something was gained, and something was lost.

+1

I bet if that was a 965 next to that 997TT it would not look that old.

Still love the looks of that 964... vintage

Frank looks great. Although the GT3 pics must be old I thought that car was over here.

Hey don't forget the Zone 1 concours in May You need to bring one or the other to show off.

garrett376,
looks old... it's the the D-90's barely visible in the last shot.

I've since taken care of that. I liked the classic, untouched look that the car had with the D-90's (plus orange corners, flag mirrors, and 4X4 height, but wow a simple wheel change really updated the car.

What really excited me when I took the picture was the closeness in color. My '90 is Slate Grey; the Turbo I think is Meteor Grey. I'm sure Grey wasn't as popular in '90 as it is today...

I was parked near a Caymen last weekend while visiting forum sponsor OG Racing. The Cayman really did make my little car look dated. Not necessarily in a bad way, more of classic vs. modern. Compared to almost all other cars on the road though, the 964 still looks better.

Should have taken a pic.

What I find more interesting is how much larger the newer cars are. They look small until you park one next to a 964. Even my 928 looks bigger than it is until you park it next to a cayman.

Sorry my 964 was hiding from the cayman.
