Default Weak turn signals

I'm having a problem with my turn signals, or rather, everyone else on the road is having a problem with them.

They can't see them when they're on. I have the euro lens kit as shown, with silver coated amber bulbs, but apparently they aren't bright enough in the sunlight for people to make them out... either that or other drivers just don't know where to look. I've been getting some angry looks lately.

What are my options? Are there better bulbs, or higher amp fuses that I could use?

There are different kinds of "euro" lenses and different kinds of bulbs. The OEM lenses are chrome on the inside and highly reflective. Many of the aftermarket ones are silver/matte. That could be part of the issue.

When I had the clear lenses on my old car I used amber bulbs instead of silver coated. They worked fine as far as I know with the replica lenses I had at the time.

YMMV.

First of all, check that they work .

They go from White to Amber!!! They should see them without issues! Must be that they are charmed by the looks of the car and their minds wonder off to owning such a beauty.

For sale!!?? What!? What a same. Best of luck with the sale.

See that was my thought initially. Either the beautiful amazon green paint or my winning smile was blinding them from any artificial source of light that my car was creating.

The lights do work. I went over the lenses with a fine toothed comb last week, found out one of my rear side indicators was out, as well as a brake light bulb, but turns are fine. I think ilko's right, its partly the non-reflective backing of the lenses of these euro kits. Too bad you can't take these apart without difficulty, unless someone knows otherwise, to spray the back of the lenses with something reflective. I may try to find bulbs that are a bit more orange than amber, but we'll see.

Car is sadly for sale. I've been trying to get into business school since September (before the market crashed), but to no avail yet. I may take it off the market if I put business school off until next year.
