Default Rear wheel lock..help!

First time changing pads on the new C2. The car has wheel locks. I have the key however the rears are recessed and I cant see how to access the lock. Am i just suffering from the kahdmus syndrome or is there a trick? usually this is such an easy job but this tiny thing has me stumped!!

Never Mind....I did what I was too leary to do initially and prised off with the screwdriver!!!!! Figured there should be a trick with less chance of scratching. It was actually very gentle and straightforward however!

Twist and pull. The locking cap should come off.

Do I need to hold it with a wrench?

No. Your key should go into the slot... twist around (left / right) and be able to pull the top off completely to reveal the lugnut underneath. It has been a while since I touched the lock, but it does not take much effort.

Shouldn't have to. But if it's frozen, you may need to soak it with some pb or something. That is why I drilled mine off when I got my car and threw them away, as I already didn't have the key.

I've got the rears off but the fronts are being stupid. they appear well oiled and in new condition so I'm not sure why they are sticking. I'm annoyed as I've spent over an hour on these suckers now...longer than it takes to change the pads themselves!

I'll give them a spray and see what happens!

Thanks for the advice gents.

well job done. Turns out I wasn't pulling hard enough to pull them off however I think I can be excused as it honestly wasn't obvious - they felt loose like they would just come straight off once the tumbler was aligned...

Sorry for being a prat (the syndrome strikes) and thanks for the help.

Now to change the pads!
