Hello (First Post)
Hi
My name is Gilbert, I live in Scotland and I have recently aquired a 964.
It is a 09/1993 C2 with 122.000miles. Apart from being lowered it is pretty much standard so far.
Things I have to sort out:
- rust bubble at the windscreen
- small oil leak origin yet unknown (pressure is fine and consumption minimal).
Over time (and after my wife has recovered from the shock me buing it) I will start upgrading it.
First things:
- white indicators (already ordered)
- cuppipe (will be ordered secretly in the next days
)
- new face for fuel gauge and speedo
- dismantle rear wiper
Later
- replacing heater blower with air induction pipe
- rs doorcards
- Ruf A pillars
- LM220 Kit
- 100 Cell catalytic converter and muffler
- 18'' BBS
much, much later (if I am ever get to keep it that long)
- back seats, carpets etc. out
- paint interior black
- rollcage
- RS seats
- carbon bonnet and boot lid
- big black breaks (928GTS)
- suspension (don't know which yet)
My Porsche history so far was a 1982 SC and a 1989 3.2. I actually preferred the 3.0 (SSI, heater backdate etc) over the 3.2 as I think the engine character was nicer and in general the car was lighter and quicker (not top speed though).
I did drop the engine in the 3.0 a couple of times and read the drop threads here with interest as I probably have to drop the engine in the 964 as well to sort out the leaks and give it a good clean.
Pictures to follow when the weather gets decent again.
Cheers
Gilbert

Hi Gilbert, congrats on the car and I echo what JimQ said about the pics!
I don't remember Daviot but my Mum used to live in Gardenstown where I used to go and stay in the summertime...lovely part of the world!
Welcome!
