Default Engine miss

I had my fuel injectors out for service, they all checked out fine, but did benefit from a good cleaning, better atomization and more consistent fuel delivery.
After installing the injectors and checking for any leaks, I started the engine and it seems to have developed a miss or maybe only running on 5 cylinders, the car rocks backs and forth ever so slightly, like the engine is out of balance.
What is the best way to check the injectors, can I disconnect the plug on the injectors one at the time, or would that damage anything.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Do you have a CEL? You don't have to start the car to do an electrical test. You can check each injector separately by connecting it to a 9V battery. If you hear a click, the electrical is OK.

Maybe someone else can chime in on the mechanical part.

I'll get rid of the obvious question: Did you let it run for a few minutes?

(Mine shook & twittered for a while. Till the fuel finally rewetted all the lines. Oh, and I'd also just changed the fuel filter, too.)

"can I disconnect the plug on the injectors one at the time"

Answer to Ilko, yes I do have a CEL, I tried the accelerater way of checking for codes, but it did not show any.
And Elbeee, I ran it for about 15 min. it ran a bit rough in the beginning, then settled right in, but when I sit in the seat, I can still feel the car rocking a bit.
PS: I also changed the fuel filter.

Hmm, you have a CEL but no code? Did you use Bill Wagner's method?

Are you going to do the test you asked about ?

Any chance that any of the injector wires got crossed from one cylinder to another ?

Ilko, I will try his method and report back. May take a hour or so.

With regards to the CEL, I have a Steve Wong chip in my car, maybe that disabled code retrieval, no codes with Ilkos method. The car is stationary, I cant' remember if the CEL stays on untill I start driving or not.
Indycam, the wire length pretty much limit which injector it hooks up to, but I will check that also when I do the individual injector disconnect.

Very strange. I've never heard of that. Do the test with the 9V battery at each injector. If it clicks, the injector is good and the wiring is severed somewhere most likely. The CEL code would've shown you which injector is the problem, if indeed it is an injector issue.

I found the problem, bad connection on #3 injector, runs like a charm and the CEL is gone.

Thanks for your help, it is a great comfort to have Rennlisters like you guys, when things go a little sideways.
