Mundane Monday
so the only thing I did with the Porsche this weekend was move it in and out of the garage for a photo shoot. Not much else. when the weather breaks a bit, I need to wash the dirty pig!!!
And you- what did you do Porsche related this weekend?

I'm actually just about done with the winter maintenance. Very proud of myself, did it in record time. Now I'm just waiting for the warm weather and it's killing me! On top of all Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow this morning so I'm not holding my breath
Not sure if this counts as Porsche related but I mounted two more large florescent lights in my garage to eliminate shadows in the workshop side. It looks much better. I will be dropping my engine to fix an oil leak in a couple weeks and I wanted the work area to be better.
I now have 8 of these lights in the workshop. :-) No affiliations

It was a nice top down ride around day yesterday. I took a drive to Daytona and drove on the beach for a while watching the crazy tourist out in the 60 degree water! The odometer and heater selaoids I fixed the last couple of weeks are still working fine.
Washed the car yesterday but didn't wax (rain on Thursday apparently). Cleaned the interior & glass and made her look all pretty.
The only annoying thing about washing this car is that it takes a couple of days for the window channels to dry so even though its sunny and nice out, if I drop the windows (which looks and feels far nicer with the top down) then my lovely clean glass gets all smeared.

Pulled the engine on that '94 cab. It's off to its new owner in a couple of days. So now I will wait until something in a little nicer shape drops in my lap. Isn't it laughable how many water cooled cars are out there that NO ONE wants? I'm resisting taking the plunge in that direction...............

Not much happening with my cars in the last week or so... 996TT sitting pretty, washed and shined; 964 nice and clean sleeping in the garage; 911 SC waiting for me to take time off to continue working on it...
The situation with the economy is hitting home with a few of my siblings and close friends... really sucks. Might even need to sell a few toys in case I need to help out.

Hey Ken, glad all went through ok. I forwarded the pics to my friend (who is a Rennlister but rarely posts) but he's been too busy to really think about things this last week. Ultimately I think the math would have worked against us. Thank you so much for the effort in sending pics etc. though, really appreciated! Yoy are a gent!
I'm talking '99-'01 996's; and pretty much any Boxster, especially those over 60-70K miles. Even Caymans now. And we aren't even touching Porsche trucks in this conversation. Seen more than one sub-$20K Cayenne being pitched.

A Boxster S would be nice... I am just too paranoid about those disposable engines to even bother...
