Rear Seat Belt replacement
Just took my 89 C4 in for it's "old car" inspection as required by the insurer. Passed with two exceptions:
1. oil leaks (I looked at the mechanic and gave him that "you can't be serious, it's a Porsche - they all do that" look), and
2. rear seat belt is frayed and needs to be replaced.
Quick questions:
has any one replaced a rear seat belt and have helpful hints, and there are multiple part no's in the PET. For pre 90 they have 911 803 049 and for everyone else they have 964 803 021. Pelican only has the 964 number listed - has the "911" part no. been superseded by it and/or will the "964" part no. fit in an 89?

Not sure about the part numbers, but the job will be quite easy. Just unscrew the rear shelf and pull it forward to get access to the shoulder belt with a ratchet.
Have you thought about checking for a used one? I did this at one point on the 993. Just a thought.
Enjoy the project.
