Default Clutch question.

I was trying to drive it hard the other day, and the car didn't seem to have the pickup I expected. In the higher gears, I had the definite sensation that the clutch was slipping. The car only has 35K miles on it despite it's age. So my questions is, do you think I need a clutch, or is it more likely something readily serviceable like the clutch slave? I haven't bled the brakes or clutch on this car yet. Probably no down side to bleeding the system and trying it out again.

I don't think bleeding the system will help your problem but wouldn't hurt. The slave would keep the clutch from releasing all the way but not make it slip. My guess would be the input shaft has gummed up and it isn't letting disengage all the way. If it is that, you might try to spay some lube in there to see if it helps (not sure if that is possible or not) or remove the clutch and wire brush the input shaft. I would replace the clutch while it is out. That's my guess. Good luck.
