Oil residue below intake manifold drivers side
Hey all,
I just happened to notice a small amount of oil on the top of the engine cover below the intake manifold on the driver's side. The other side is completely clean. I only have about 2,000 miles after complete rebuild, so this is a new issue. Any thoughts? Oil level too high?
TIA

It's likely that this was caused by oil overflow back through the breather tube and into the intakes. It then drips from one side of the throttle body.
You can pull the ISV (Idle Stability Valve) and the intakes and clean them. You will see an oily film even when inside the intakes even when the oil is not over filled, but this is a rather classic result of over fill causing the mess.
