Default Clutch and engine oil

Hi Guys,

To replace the clutch on a 964, would I be right in saying that they would have to replace the engine oil ?

Cheers

Sunil

If you are removing the engine, yes then you need to drain and replace the engine oil. Do you have a C2 or a C4? Normally, you drop the engine to replace the clutch. Its possible to do it while the engine is in the car but only on the C2's.

Mine is a C2. I just need to confirm that an oil change would have been done a the time of the clutch.

With a C2, it will depend on how your mechanic does the job. If they remove the engine/tranny, then yes, the engine oil is drained and will need to be replaced.
