yellow, red, big reds, big yellows....all VERY cool on water-pumpers and some 993's; especially if a p-car that has the letters GT or RS in its nomenclature.

i think the black OEM for 964's is very "McQueen" in my 2c.

however, since i see that you have a '90 c4, i would recommend getting a set of the improved model year 92/93 rear calipers.

What changed on the rear C4 caliper in 92/93? Was unaware of any difference.

Yup, the C4 had the "good" calipers on the rear right from the start in '89. It was only the C2 that came along in '90 with the poverty spec rears and Porsche had a change of heart and fitted the 4 pots on the C2 in 1992 (I believe).

I still think yellow calipers look good on a red car. I've just collected my (yellow) car with newly painted red calipers and I'm very pleased.

Let me add to the thread, so that it can reach 3 pages. Can I paint the calipers myself? Given that I am totally challenged when it comes to tools and I dont have a lift?

That's what I've done to my '90 C2, partly because the rear calipers were from a 993C4, hence they were already silver....
