The 3.6T is one of the toughest markets going. Over the past few years most of the good clean cars have traded hands and most who own them aren't selling. In the past year and a half I have seen very few good cars for sale. Those in excellent condition sell for crazy money and the rest sit eventually selling but with hidden issues and expenditures.

I guess the primary questions need to be answered. What is your budget, maximum permissible mileage, color preferences, options and lastly are any mods allowed or must it be stock. Depending on how particular you are will determine how easy or impossible or how much $$ you will spend to find a 94 turbo that suits your needs. Rare colors are difficult to find, with black and red being the most common.

Since you are looking for these cars I am assuming you are aware that only 411 stock 94 turbos were imported to the US and these numbers included any cars that might have been used for racing series and not all made it to the continental US. With all the cars that have recently left the US to find a home overseas and the numerous cars that have been totaled and or have salvage titles there are probably less than 300 still in the US with about half of these in decent condition. On average for a clean non stock (lightly modded) car with mileage in the 30-40k range expect to pay around $70k or more. Pricing goes up or down accordingly.

If you plan on modifying it you might think about a nice 3.3l and spending the extra on upgrades.

Good Luck

Agree with Cobalt. If you really want a 3.6, then go for it - but don't expect to find exactly what you are looking for (color, options etc.).

The 3.3s are easier to find, and if you want a specific color, or have a list of options which need to be in the car, then go for this car instead. Otherwise it can be very hard to find what you are looking for with less than 300 cars in the US as Cobalt pointet out.

There seems to be a handful of 3.6s for sale all the time here in Europe, you might consider to expand you search to include Europe too then. Try to look at some of the cars I posted a link to in my above post.

Price seems to vary a lot. When I bought my 3.3 this summer, which is a 20.000 km car and all stock, it was in the 60k € range. Since then, I have seen similar cars in the same price range and higher. I think it is hard to determine a certain price on these cars. But if you are going for a 3.6 then you have to expect to pay more than this, since the 3.6 is a more rare car. But again, it really depends on the mileage, condition etc.
