Santa brought me some pedals and I am thinking of srewing the dead pedal directly to the surface? Is it just a heater duct behind it?

Don't mind the interior redo.

On the side of the holed rest, it is solid metal. Just drill away.

Sorry. There is a small opening. It should not interfere with the drilled holes...if the manufacturer of the plate did any kind of decent job designing.

What's on the underside of this dead pedal area? I need to remove an old fastener with bolt on the underside from PO's dead pedal that I removed.

Does the little access door in the wheel well in the attached link get me there? Thanks!
