Hey guys,
I'm new to the Porsche family and forum. I inherited my father's '90 C2 Cabrio and am doing some minor restorations. I wanted to cover the tag bracket holes in the front bumper with German style license plate, but am not completely familiar with the format. Could someone advise me on the correct format for a pre '94 (non FE/Euro style) german plate with Stuttgart for the city code?
Thanks

German license plates for Stuttgart have an 'S' prefix and look like this...

The picture above shows modern style plates with the euro stars and 'D' for Deutschland. You can also get older style plates without the 'euro' blue panel. They make them to order here http://www.customeuropeanplates.com/ and you can also buy the tax disc/city emblem stickers for the authentic look (see registration seals on the site).
Disclaimer: I've never bought from this site, it's just the first I came across selling what you're looking for.

Have a look at this site.

They have a number of options on German style plates along with some information on the German plate system.

No affiliation nor have I purchased from this site

It’s a pity fore you that you don’t have it the Swedish way. Here we can bay a licence plate for around 100 Dollar for a 5 year limit. The money goes to traffic victims and research. You can use 7 letters and numbers. Then you can go for…Ogift with means unmarried on your Porsche….your wife will be very pissed off though. You can use very little fantasy to figure out all nice combinations that we can compose. We also have all the naughty German words that maybe make more sense to us than to you over there.
