Default fenders

although different the workmanship looks pretty good especially if those have been reworked originals and not custom fiberglass.

It looks like he started with those fenders and then adapted 997 headlights.
I draw the line at using 993 aero mirrors, TT brakes, master cylinder, steering rack brace, turbo twists . . . hey wait a minute . . . guess I should practice what I preach about messing with the design.

Above all I hold to; "Hey, its your car- go for it", still if you ask for my opinion here, you will get it.

This is a great thread- discussions all over the place. That purple car is wild looking- what is it?

Also, I remember back in the days I was in high school and working my butt off to save for my first 911 (used SC), I'd read everything about porsches and dream. I remember the RUF 911's breaking I believe 200 in one of the car tests...and they said the front hood bent in when hitting the top speed (it bent out again when they finished the run)- man cars that could hit those speeds were amazing in their time!

I can answer you on your question. I was also interested in clear headlight glass, and I found something similar on FVD. You need to buy 2 things headlights from 993 that can be installed on 964 (FVD 631 993 001) and you need to buy 993 left and right fender that is modified for 964 (KEV 503 998).

Here is the link http://shop.fvd.de/de/en/Porsche-0/9...+998+&x=7&y=10

And when I was looking at autoscout24 I found theese lights also

This one looks awesome also...and the fenders are from 964 I think...

Whats the goal here ( I forget now); better lights or for aesthetic reasons (or both)?

lol----I have no goal guys, I posted this thread to get your opinions on THAT car, not to ask if I should do the mod or not I wouldnt spend $2500 on fenders just to slant my headlights, but if he has the money more power to him, with all the money he dropped into that 964, i woulda just bought a used ferrari 360.

I ordered the Euro 964 lights/bezel----not much difference, just gets rid of those adjusting holes on the bezel and supposedly the lights are better

"I wouldnt spend $2500 on fenders just to slant my headlights"

Add another $20k or so and someone will throw in the rest of the 993.

which is why, i would not spend the 2500 just to slant my headlights, and they were from a 997, 993 are more upright

Eddie is a friend of mine. These lights are in fact 997 head lights. Eddie took the front of the 997 fenders and welded them into 964 fenders so that the 997 headlight assembly would fit - a true custom build. I personally think they look awesome, but I also understand why some purists wouldn’t like them. Eddie also shaved the rain guards – all this in an effort to gain some speed.

As for the 360 – Eddie is like most on this forum – A Porsche nut. Ferraris don’t strike his interests as much the Porsche. I think for his next project he is going to turbo-charge a GT-3.

I believe Excellence is a doing a full article on him and the car. Thanks to Ilko!

Nice, does he do some of this work himself or is it all done by a shop? I have noticed some changes such as the mirrors missing for speed, the ducts in the rear quarters, the car is truely a sleeper, youd never expect 1200hp out of a car that looks so "street". What do you mean "rain guards' Im not sure which part you mean by this? His car is one amazing machine, much respect to the build, to the records and the effort, is there anywhere to find build progress pics, details, or more info on it?

I like it. Also, looks similar to a 3.6 Flachbau.

Lots of apples and oranges being thrown around.
But after the food fight, Eddie has bested all the
Porsche turbos in the standing mile.
Everyone.
And he did it with a modified 964.
Just as they attempted to surpass him with
modified 996/7's. They failed.
