Default Auto to Manual conversion

I've done a quick search and found nothing entirely relating to this so please don't flame me if there is a thread

What is involved to convert a Tiptronic 964 to manual and at going rates approximately what cost?

Asking on behalf of a friend who is considering purchasing a tipo as manual are fairly rare over here.

TIA.

There have been many threads asking the same question, one as recently as a week or two ago. Here are many results from a search I just did for you...

Reverse process - somebody asked about going from manual to tip.

Basically, don't do it. Sell the auto, and buy a manual...

I did it, but put in a 993 6-speed G50/21 box. Not difficult and sweeeeeeeet!
