Starter motor....
Good evening,
My starter motor has failed in my very narrow garage. I've lifted the right side of the car and supported it on axle stands, taken the 'drip tray' off, and tried to get to the starter contacts to check, but - how the hell am I suppossed to get access to it? I've done a 'search' but can't really find anything like a step by step guide. Does anyone have a link to a write-up they could post please? I can't even get a hammer on it to give it a bang to see if that free's it up enough to start the car and drive it to my mechanic!!!!!!
Thanks in advance,
Mark. 90 C2.

Mark,
Here's a commiseration thread that'll give you a idea, or two. And then there's Jason's electrical connections factory bulletin to dig up, once you've ripped that SOB out and have the new one ready to go back in.
this, too, would help.
Good luck!
