FOR SALE: Pristine 1990 Carrera 2 Cabriolet w/ only 8,800 Miles! (PRICE DROP 11-9-08)
#46
I recently sold a 1991 C4 Cabriolet, manual transmission, one owner, all records, 7,500 original miles, triple black for $37,500. The head gaskets had been done at 3,500 under warranty - engines before June 1991, IIRC, had no head gaskets, a bad design, most leaked oil and Porsche corrected them under warranty. So not having records for until 2005 is a MAJOR issue IMO. That is a $8-9,000 issue. And, the tiptronic transmission (and the economy) narrows the market considerably.
I believe its discounted enough to take into account the issues referenced above. The market may be narrow but there also cannot be many sub ten thousand mile examples to select from. It may take a while to sell but then 'special' cars always will, more so in this climate.

Thanks! I know it doesn't mean much but the auction currently has 50 people watching it and about 1,000 hits which is more action than the car has seen in previous auctions (usually about 30-40 watchers). Hopefully that translates to bidding as we get closer to the deadline.

Can't imagine why this car hasn't sold. After all, you're including the "tube of touch-up paint".
Personally, as long as you've been trying to sell this thing, I'd take the $25K and run. Unless you just like seeing this car on eBay.
