Default Oil Leak Continued - Rocker Cover help?

Hi right, so i have have the engine apart...

i have resealed the breather cover, and the oil pressure switch.

I am in the process of doing the timing chain covers at the moment, half way thru.

I took off the rocker cover lef side lower, the one i put a new gasket on recently to check it....

questions - is this mag or aluminium?

you can see the warping...

i am wondering if this is a culprit

thanks folks!

They're aluminum... I'd use new gaskets, Curil-T on the mating surfaces and torque it down and see how it does. That's the budget approach before springing for expensive, new valve covers. It's always seemed odd to me that the covers would warp, yet the heads remain flat? Seems these flexible covers should mate just fine once it's all torqued down. I've had numerous 964's and not needed new covers due to warping... and I always keep on the engine undertray, even on the race car

By the way, that portion of the valve cover you photographed that "appears warped" on the far left, doesn't do anything anyways - that part doesn't need to seal anything.

Looks aluminum.

What's the year stamp on the interior well 'floor' nearest the the hoop spark plug passage.
[Mine's a '93 and it's stamped '92' there. Aluminum. (I think. )]

part number stamp? [mine's 964.105.115.2R]
