Not eqaul in each side!
It seems like the front hood isn't eqaul in each side. See the picture. Is there any logical explanation to this? Shall it be like this, or what to do?
It opens fine, and it seems to close fine too.

Does the gap equalizes after the hood is closed? If so, I would not worry much about it. If it is still uneven after the hood is closed, I think the car is done and I will come pick it up from you as scrap metal.

My hood does that too. I thought it would go away when I replaced the gas hood shocks, but it actually got a little worse. My guess is that one side's shock went down while the other was still charged. Now I need to look, but wonder if there is a side-to-side adjustment for the hood latch that could pull the hood slightly to one side upon closing. (1/16" or so wuold be plenty)
It is very slight when the hood is closed, but it bugs me just the same.

Anyway, the gap seems to equalizes when closed, but you can see a little bit difference, but not as much when open.

I must admit, I've never noticed it on mine, but I am sure it does it. Have you seen the video of the Germans putting 911's together? There's a lot more hammering and shoe-horning than you might imagine. It's pretty amazing that everything is a balanced as it is.
To fix: grab the hood and lift it half way up... twist.. lower the hood. It it is not fixed, do it again. If you went too far, do it again but twist the other way. I am sure there is a service bulletin on this somewhere

I have thought about this for a while now and I think it maybe should be like this. If it was just as low as in the right side, you couln'd get you hand in and open it. But you might say it is then too low in the right side.

You could sell it and buy a modern day car assembled by robotics. It will likely be off square, but every piece will be off the exact same amount, so it will look good to the human eye!
