Racing wheel air bag light?
i'm sure this has been covered but I couln't find on a search.
So.. how do you eliminate the air bag light correctly when you change the steering wheel to a racing non air bag type.
any help would be appeciated.
Thanks
Elliot

I haven't done it myself but I had seen several threads about it. See https://rennlist.com/forums/search.php?searchid=3080878

I just installed a Momo wheel in my C4 Cab. Regarding the airbag light, I installed the "Bridge Plug", part # 928-612-220-00-OEM. Ordered from Pelican Parts, took about week to get. Oh, I first ordered one from Sunset. They said "unknown" delivery date. It just came in so I have an extra if anyone wants it.
It's easy to install the plug. Basically, remove a cover on the center console, disconnect a harness, install the plug. Be aware that this disables both the steering wheel and the passenger side airbags.
The lights in the clock go out, a reset by the hammer is not required.

The cover is a piece of carpet covered plastic about 2"x3", straight down from the radio, on the passenger side of the car (USA). Just feel around on the console, just ahead of the gear shift and switch panel. There are two screws holding that in place that may not be obvious. All black on mine so very well concealed. You will find a metal bracket that the plug is attached to. You have to unscrew another small 8mm screw to get the bracket out. Pull all that out and you will have the harness. You have to break off a 'safety' pinned piece of plastic to get the plugs apart. You can see in the photo what it looks like after the bridge plug is installed. I stuffed the other end of the harness back in there, reattached the bracket, and closed it all up. It really is a lot easier to do than explain.
