Default Suspension Input Needed

Guys, I'm looking to install a suspension package in my 964. The car will be used for the street/autocross with a few DE's thrown in.Here's the following:

H&R red springs with Bilstein HD shocks. R/S sway bars. Pretty common combination. I'd like to hear from the guys who are running this combination. Have you been happy with it? If not why? Do you think I will contend with broken sway bar mounts due to excessive sway bar sizes vs relatively soft springs?

Thanks in advance,

Dan

Saw your post and that it had not had any replies. I can't help a lot at this point, but I just installed the HR turbo and Bilstein HDs. No new rear sway yet. I have not had a chance to work the suspension out yet. However, I did extensive searches on the subject and found a few comments about rear sway mount failures, but no one that actually said they experienced it. I may be naive, but I'm not losing sleep over it based on the number of guys here that the same set up and have not had any trouble.

I do plan on installing an adjustable rear. If anyone has had trouble, maybe they can chime in now.

Thanks Lynn, any response at this point is a good one. I too saw some comments about broken sway bar mounts in my search. I also was interested in hearing from gents who run the H&R red spring Bilstein HD's in competitive events and DE.

I am using the Reds.bilstein combo on both my C2 and turbo. On my C2 i have TRG or RS equivalent bars. IMO the rear bar set to full is too small and the front I need to set to 2nd from softest to compensate for the rear. Unless you are running RS springs or stiffer the TRG/RS sways don't work IMO. You are better off just buying the rear and keeping the front or moving up to an RSA front bar.

I have the 26mm rear H&R bar in my turbo set to soft with factory front bar. I think with the H&R 24mm front bar you can get the maximum performance out of these cars. I am thinking of adding teh front to my turbo and switching to H&r all around for my C2.

Anthony, thanks. That was a lot of real world insight to the working of different sway bar setups. Thats exactly what I needed so I can make a informative choice.
