Default Brake pad sensor delete

I am installing new street brake pads that soon will be replaced with track pads for DE and then back to street. What is the trick with the pad sensors. My understanding is that you just cut them and tie the 2 ends together as in a closed loop and secure them to the car. Do I have it right?

Thanks
Steen

Yes, I cut the plug off, slid heat-shrink tubing over one end, soldered together, slid back and shrunk the tubing with a heat gun. They are neat, tidy and been working fine for years.

Make sure they are short enough not to get caught on anything but long enough to make a neat loop.
