Removing rear bumper!!

Rob,

the aluminium bar is in effect your crash impact piece. The rear plastic bumper will absorb minor dings it's the big metal bar behind that takes the larger ones. Not sure I'd have the confidence to remove it, in the event of a rear shunt it does offer some protection to your engine/exhaust etc.

sorry to bump old thread.. following the suggestions here has helped but i'm stuck with removing/disconnecting the wiring for the license plate illuminators. seems to feed through a small hole in the top edge of the bumper?

To disconnect the wiring to the license plat lights, you need to remove the right rear tail light. Under it, there is an electrical connector for the license plate lights.

Lordy! All those tools on the ground, a hammer, crowbar, lamp, faulty drop cords and torn gaskets...

Looks like the spot beneath my tractor.
