For Sale - 964 Tiptronic Automatic Transmission
Hi,
I'm normally over on the 996 board but I have what I think (IMHO) is a fairly good deal for the 964 crowd.
I have a 1993 (I think) Tiptronic Transmission, which is extremely clean and in good working condition. I've been trying to sell it for a while but have no takers. So now I'm just going to get crazy with the price, how about $575 ?
The transmission is listed in the classified section. The ad number is 13070. The listed price is $1800 (ignore that), now it's $575. I drive a 996, have no need for it and it must go!
Shipping, crating, pick up, etc. is the full responsibility of the buyer.

Emmm...mine broke.(See earlier thread).Well, we think it's a sensor or an electronics problem but the mechanic is waiting for a new diagnostics package from Porsche so's he can find out for sure. If it is a gearbox replacement though I'll snap your arm off! Don't know how much that would be to ship to Ireland but I'm sure we could do that easy enough.

I am in need of a Tip transmission and have contacted ejdoherty911 in the hope he is willing to ship to NZ.
It appears my diff has broken a piece or pieces off and probably fired it through the transmission bell housing by the torque converter resulting in diff oil trickling out. Simplest thing to do is replace the whole unit.
Cheers,
Nick

Hi Nick,
That sounds nasty...it looks like I won't need a gearbox,it's an electronics problem, I was just saying to the first poster to not throw it away...hope it sorts the problem out for ya!
