Default RS Sway Bars - What settings are you running?

What front and rear setting settings are you running on your RS sways? I know this is a bit subjective, but I am just curious what other people like. My car has JIC coilovers and I run R comp tires most of the time.

Thanks for your input.

I have RS sways on my 993 daily driver (with PSS9's). I use middle in front and firm in the rear. I have not changed since I used these settings for track and autox before buying the Turtle.

You can't gauge off of what others run. Your spring rates, shock valving, camber and tire combination will all affect your car balance, and thus your sway bar settings.

That being said, I run mine one from full soft in the front and full stiff in the back.

Thanks guys. I realize there are tons of variables. I was just curious what other people are doing.

Currently at middle rear, 2nd soft at front but now going full soft front full hard rear.

Which sort of begs the question whats the point of it being adjustable given the previous replies

Sway bars allow you to make gross adjustments in the balance of the car. If the car has a predominant tendency toward oversteer or understeer, you can change the springs and/or adjust the sway bars to bring the car back into balance. Once you have the general balance close, you can adjust the shocks (if you have that type) to further tune the balance of the car in the 3 parts of the corner.

I just wanted to clarify which sway bar we're all talking about. The Factory RS bars utilize a 24mm front and 18mm rear spec. TRG adjustables (a popular alternative) come in 25mm fronts and your choice of 22mm or 19mm rears. It gets a little tricky becaue the full soft setting for the thicker TRG rear bar is approximately the same as the full stiff position for the thinner one.

I have the TRG 25/22's set one setting stiffer from the middle at the front and full soft at the rear.

Josh, I think we need to do some mod's on your car (it's only money). Just take a look at Tom W's ride, that is SWEET!
Leave your front right where it is at and stiffen the rear one more notch, then you will be one off the stiffest setting.
What tire pressure were you ending up with hot?
That will be an easy adjustment and create better turn-in or rear control (greasy feeling).

With TRG 25/22's set one setting from the stiffest front and rear.
I have the JIC Comp /not for street ,set up at 4 from the stiffest.

I have just installed the front 5 way adjustable sway bar on my 91 C2. It appears I can only use the back 3 adjustment holes. The 2 closest to the A arm are unusable as the knuckle of the RS drop link interferes there. Have I done something wrong?

Are your drop links curved or straight?

They are the RS specific drop links specific L & R with a bend close to one end. That bend is nearest the drop link, right? Thanks...

I sold my RSA 2 & 1/2 years ago, but if I remember correctly the bend on the drop links goes at the bottom, and they curve so that they clear the A arm.
