Brake upgrade - ABS LIght
I just upgraded the rear calipers on my 1990 C2 from the 2 pot to the later 964 4 pot black brembo calipers. I also changed out the proportioning valve to the 55 bar version as indicated in many other posts. The physical caliper and valve change went well, with virtually no issues. Before flushing the barke fluid, I got into the car to pump the brakes and move the rear pistons out onto the pads. I started the car to pump the brakes more and while doing this noticed the ABS light came on.
I figured that it was associated with potential air in the lines (fluid level was still good) from changing the prop valve and calipers, so I just continued to flush the system and in put in Super Blue fluid. After a complete flush, I started the car and the ABS light is still on. The car drives well, and the brakes work fine.
I have heard issues with ABS pumps and such, but I am assuming that this is directly associated with something that I did during this recent process of changing the calipers, and not some major issue.
Anyone have any ideas on this on how to get this light back off or reset it?
