Looking at buying a '93 C2 Cab. Any thoughts on this picture? The car has apparently had a recent engine reseal (not got full details of this yet). Looks like oil on the engine case?

Looks like cosmoline.

+1 on the cosmoline.
Though, it does look like there may be some (possibly old) oil around cyl #6

+1 on the cosmoline too (the brown stuff)
That engine look pretty clean. You may check on top of the heat exchangers to verify any unseen leaks.

HAHA, cheers mate! Yeah....I think Robmug and co. should feature it in the "Icons" section of Total 911! Amazing really that it was 2 or 3 years ago and yet it still lives in infamy!

I'm the original owner of a 1991 964 C4. Decided to change the from differential oil while doing the trans axle. When I took the from cover off I was surprised to see the cosmoline all over the differential and the power steering. So there it is! Factory oversea protection.
