Default Great Colour

Saw this on Pistonheads what a great colour the add describes it as Cognac Brown. I have seen a 928 in a similar colour before but never 964. The new 997 is a available in a brown now aswell.

More of a 'stealth', blend-in color, IMHO, than a great color. Looks at home not making waves.
I prefer zestier, or primary, colors (like your blue!) to celebrate a zesty marque & model.
Perfect for someone else, no doubt -- just not for me. Thanks for bring it out for show!

I think that was a popular 70's color. That and plaid interior.

Speaking of 'stealth' color schemes... Hi Ilk!

If that had my family tartan on the inside I would just *have* to buy it.

Looks like the old school copper crayon from the crayola box. You know- the one that would never stick to the paper very well....

One of my ex's had a 944 in that colour - it wasn't too bad (although it doesn't quite rank as a favourite colour.....). And it did have the lovely check seats.

Hard to tell but it could have been special order copper brown. My first 79 SC was this color. I always wanted a turbo in this color Classic late 70's look and still a beauty IMO.

Looks great on the 930, but I just don't think it suits the 964. Don't ask me why, I really couldn't say the reason.

You don't really want to know what I think of that colour.

Not 100% sure they are the same color. The tobacco brown is much richer looking in person. I also think the black accents on the 911 vs the lack of rubber and stone guards etc make a big difference in the way the color looks.

My SC was a very nice car in tobacco and I still wish I had it today made for a great combo with the tan interior. Wish I had a picture it was very nice in person and looks even better on the turbo body.
