Default A few questions...

I have had my car about three weeks now and it has been a joy to drive. Here are a few obeservations and questions.

1.) When I turn on the AC, in stop and go traffic the idle drops to 2-3 hundred rpm, the car will die when I come to a complete stop. All the warning lights come on before it dies. Interesting because I was driving on the highway with it on and it worked well. Any thoughts?
2.) The reserve oil guage has been stuck on the bottom end of the range since I bought the car has not moved at all. Is this okay?
3.) A few times when I have driven the car at a cruising speed of say 50-60 mph, the power will all the sudden drop off for 3-5 seconds and come back on. This has happened maybe 3 times since I have had the car. Anyone else have this happen?
4.) Is the brake squeel, which has been awful, I sprayed WD-40 on the calipers, but that has not helped much. Any easy fix suggestions, besides grease? The car has new calipers and brakes, I understand that this is normal for the car.
5.) What intervals do you go before changing your oil? I drive the car 1-2 times a week, mostly on the highway, putting on maybe 100 miles at best.

Thanks,
Brandon

Can't help much there but someone else probably can. What options are on your car? Lightweight flywheel perhaps?

No it is not okay. Do you know how to check the oil in these cars? You need to get it up to operating temp and then leave it running while pulling the dipstick. Slowly add. Eventually, you will see it climb. Ensure that the dipstick agrees with the guage.

Sounds like a short.

What kind of brakes?

Maybe that is it with the lightweight flywheel. Brakes are oem, no aftermarket, pads or rotors. I did check the oil and it is about three fourths on the dip stick.
